Tactics restaurant on the first floor, brasserie style, overlooking the harbour. There is a bar adjacent to the restaurant. A 1970's building of concrete and glass. Medium-sized check-in area with a small lounge area off to the left. One of the best located hotels in Auckland, restaurants, bars, shopping is all on the doorstep of the hotel. Water-based activities, such as sailing, harbour cruises, dolphin cruises and ferries to the outer islands are just across the road. The hotel has benefitted from a refurbishment, including new carpets and bedspreads throughout. All windows now soundproofed. Excellent value for all travellers. SE1208
